Discovery Vitality and Club100 announce new partnership

Discovery Vitality and Club100 have announced a strategic partnership that will see Club100’s extensive experience in managing cycling clubs across the country combine forces with Discovery Vitality’s expertise in encouraging people to get active and prioritise their health.

The merge, known as Team Vitality Cycling, was launched last week for cyclists around South Africa: a cycling landscape that Club100 has operated in for more than 27 years serving 1 200 cyclists around the country.

With numerous health benefits associated with cycling including improving heart health, increasing muscle tone, and building strength, Team Vitality Cycling is passionate about encouraging more people to join the South African cycling community.

Craig Nossel, Head of Discovery Vitality Wellness, commented on the merge with Club100 saying, “We are looking forward to a partnership with one of the country’s largest and most highly respected cycling clubs. There is a great synergy between us here at Discovery Vitality and Club100 with both of our goals being to promote a strong and safe cycling culture in the country and encourage individuals to get healthy and get active outdoors.”

Club100 Chairman Terry Millar added, “This partnership provides an exciting opportunity for us to expand our membership base and add to what we offer our cycling community. We are committed to providing a safe support infrastructure for cycling enthusiasts at all levels of the sport which includes road cycling, mountain biking, and track riding. Under our new club, Team Vitality Cycling, we look forward to the continued promotion of cycling in South Africa.”

Team Vitality Cycling members will receive a premium Team Vitality cycling shirt from world-class Italian cycling gear experts Ftech in association with ASG South Africa, savings on selected Garmin fitness devices and Rudy Project sports gear, and up to 50% cash back on the most renowned cycling events on the Team Vitality race calendar. Team Vitality members can also earn Vitality points for every race they take part in. As an added benefit of joining Team Vitality, members have access to an exclusive VIP hospitality tent both pre- and post-event to either prepare for, or recover from, their races at selected cycling events.

Existing Club100 members who are not part of Discovery Vitality will enjoy all the benefits of Team Vitality Cycling membership with the exception of the cash back savings on cycling events.
