Discovery Vitality launches HealthyBaby, to give members 10% to 50% back on baby, toddler and children’s products

Johannesburg | Discovery Vitality today announced the introduction of HealthyBaby – the benefit that rewards members by making shopping for baby, toddler and children’s essentials more affordable. Through this new partnership with Baby City and soon, ToysRUs – as well as existing partnerships with Dis-Chem and Clicks – Vitality members will get up to 25% back on day-to-day essential items like nappies, barrier cream and wet wipes, as well as premium items like prams, cots, booster seats and more. Members can boost their rewards to up to 50% back with Discovery Bank.

Dinesh Govender, CEO of Discovery Vitality, says: “We aim to make a difference at every stage of our members’ lives. Many are starting their families or are young families, with 35,000 babies and toddlers on the Vitality programme at any moment. This HealthyBaby benefit applies to all Vitality members, so it also gives extended family and friends the opportunity to spoil loved ones while maximising their discounts.”

The HealthyBaby benefit is now available to all Discovery Vitality members and Discovery Bank clients at Baby City. Have a look at the Dis-Chem Baby City catalogue to explore items on the HealthyBaby benefit. This will soon be expanded to BabiesRUs and ToysRUs.

This new benefit is in addition to the existing Vitality Baby benefit which focuses on the first 1,000 days of a child’s life (from conception to two years), which is a fundamental time in a baby’s development.

“HealthyBaby goes beyond these first 1,000 days, when the essentials for baby, toddlers and young children are still very necessary and can put a strain on a young family’s finances,” says Govender. “With the new HealthyBaby benefit, we hope to give babies, toddlers and young children the best start in life by making the healthiest, safest and most technologically advanced care items available and affordable.

Vitality Health members can get up to 25% back based on their engagement in the Vitality programme and boost their rewards to up to 50% back with Discovery Bank.

Rewards will be paid (as points) into members’ Benefit cards every month. Discovery Bank clients will receive rewards as Discovery Miles into their Discovery Miles account.
