Discovery Bank app offers discounted digital vouchers at up to 15% off

Johannesburg, 11 December 2023 - From December, the Discovery Bank app puts discounted, digital entertainment vouchers in the palms of Discovery Bank’s clients. From Roblox to Spotify, clients can now buy a variety of digital vouchers with ease and pay up to 15% less using Discovery Miles in the Discovery Bank app.

“We want to offer our clients the best variety of services not only in banking, but across their lives. Entertainment is an important part of taking care of our overall wellbeing, so we have now built additional functionality into the Discovery Bank app that offers digital vouchers at up to 15% off. Clients can choose vouchers from a range of popular providers to make it even more affordable and convenient to enjoy shopping, playing and relaxation,” says CEO of Discovery Bank, Hylton Kallner.

Digital delights with many gaming and entertainment partners

With this new feature in the Discovery Bank app, there’s more ways to play, listen, watch, and shop. There’s something for everyone from surprising a thrill-seeker with OTT vouchers or streaming favourite songs on Spotify.

With more in the pipeline, the digital vouchers that are currently available, include:

  • Blu vouchers (for gaming enthusiasts)
  • OTT vouchers
  • Netflorist
  • PlayStation
  • Roblox
  • Spotify
  • Steam

The saving of up to 15% off on any of these vouchers is available until 31 March 2024 when purchasing vouchers with Discovery Miles. The discount applies automatically, similar to when clients buy airtime, data, and prepaid water and electricity. It’s easy to explore options and to unlock the savings in the app, with everything grouped under gaming and entertainment.

Kallner says, “It’s always exciting to grow our partner network and to make using services easier to give our clients more choice and convenience. This is what gives the Discovery Bank app an additional advantage – we can quickly and easily adapt to bring clients more of what they enjoy in life – and with Discovery Miles, they save on everything they buy.”
