Entrepreneurship and small businesses are central to building our economy as they stimulate inclusive growth and create jobs. The SA SME Fund, established in 2016 under the auspices of the CEO Initiative, a partnership between the private sector, the Government, and labour, has the investment backing of many of South Africa’s largest companies. It is set up as a Fund of Funds, and will invest equity in the SME portfolios of investment managers it accredits. It will also provide access to a platform of best of breed mentoring to the investees.
