The Vitality Fittest City Index, powered by Discovery and University of Cape Town, aims to determine how each of South Africa's six major metropolitan areas – Johannesburg, Ekhurhuleni (East Rand), Tshwane (Pretoria), Cape Town, eThekweni (Durban) and Nelson Mandela Bay (Port Elizabeth) – ranked in physical activity-related health and infrastructure that promotes physical activity.
