Vitality members can now save 20% on padel bookings

Johannesburg, 4 March 2024 - Discovery Vitality is excited to announce its new padel benefit: Vitality members can now get an upfront 20% discount on court bookings with the ability to book up to four weeks in advance at over 100 padel courts around the country. This 100+ court Vitality Padel Network includes all Africa Padel, Net Set Padel and 10 by 20 Padel Club courts, plus a range of independent courts.

CEO of Discovery Vitality, Dinesh Govender, says, “We are excited about expanding our physical activity offering with padel as one of the fastest growing sports in the world. South Africa has 75,000 active players and with the Discovery Vitality Padel benefit, we look forward to seeing even more people enjoy the game.”

To access the benefit, Vitality members simply need to register for the Discovery Vitality Padel benefit on the Discovery app. They will then be able to make bookings at qualifying padel clubs through the Playtomic app within 48 hours by looking for the Vitality Indicator next to participating padel clubs in the Playtomic app.

Vitality members get the 20% discount on their individual booking fee for an unlimited number of games in a year. Members can also choose to get the discount on the whole court booking, limited to 15 games a year across the Vitality Padel Network.

“To give Vitality members a taste of this exciting game, Discovery Vitality will be hosting padel events at select courts around the country. We are also planning to host the first Discovery Padel Open between June and September this year, an exciting amateur tournament, which will involve flying qualifying finalists to Gauteng for the Finals. So, watch out for details on our social media accounts,” says Govender.

In addition to the discounts and advance booking functionality, Vitality members also earn 100 Vitality points for a 30-minute game to close their weekly Vitality Active Rewards ring. They can also earn between 100 and 300 Vitality points based on their age-related heart rate when tracking the game with a Vitality-linked fitness device.

How to activate the Discovery Vitality Padel benefit:

1. If you don’t already have a Playtomic account, download the Playtomic app and register.
2. In the Discovery app, click on Vitality Health, select the Discovery Vitality Padel benefit under “Your benefits and partners”, and confirm your email address (make sure it matches the one used to register on the Playtomic app.)
3. Within 48 hours, you will be able to make a booking at any padel court within the Discovery Vitality Padel network in the Playtomic app at the 20% discounted rate.

An opportunity to try out the game with Discovery Vitality Padel Neon Nights

Vitality members can explore padel for free at Discovery Vitality’s Padel Neon Nights which will kick off in and around Gauteng on 19^th and 21^stMarch. These events are a great way to learn more about padel and will take place at select courts.
