Discovery Vitality launches in Europe through Generali

Discovery Vitality, Woolworths and Prue Leith Chefs Academy are on a mission to get people back into the kitchen. The newly launched HealthyFood Studio is a fully equipped, state-of-the-art culinary studio based in Sandton, where classes deal various aspects of nutritious cooking. These are taught and demonstrated by a Prue Leith professional, using fresh ingredients from Woolworths.
Children at Kids Haven in Benoni were the first to each receive one of 14 500 teddy bears which are being donated to organisations across the country, thanks to Vitality members reaching their weekly fitness goals in December.
The Inaugural Discovery Duathlon, held in Sandton over the weekend of the 24th and 25th October, was a huge success with a great turnout! Fitness enthusiasts, aspiring athletes and novices took to the streets amidst the scorching Johannesburg temperatures, with the aim to complete a RunCycleRun.
The littlest Duathletes took over the streets of Sandton today, Saturday 24 October as they participated in the inaugural Kids Discovery Duathlon with Disney. Kids as young as 5 years old ran, cycled, and ran again as many of them competed in their first race. Kids were treated to a magical race through their favourite Disney landscapes, including Frozen and Finding Nemo.
Discovery announced today the launch of Vitality Active Rewards with Apple Watch for use by Vitality and the Vitality Network. Vitality Active Rewards with Apple Watch will enable Vitality members around the world to be motivated and encouraged to get more active and by achieving their goals, earn their Apple Watch and pay less for their health or life insurance.
On 24 and 25 October, the streets of Sandton will be filled with runners and cyclists competing in South Africa’s first urban Duathlon, sanctioned by Triathlon South Africa (TSA) and the International Triathlon Union (ITU). The event, the first of its kind in South Africa, is also one of the qualifying races for the South African Duathlon Championships.

Soda bottle size continued to increase in size until they’d grown to more than 18 times the size of the original bottles.
