Generali Vitality launches in France

6 September 2016, Trieste/Paris – Following the successful launch of the global Vitality programme in Germany in July 2016, Generali Vitality will soon be available to corporate clients in France thereby expanding Vitality’s European footprint. From 1 January 2017, Generali Vitality will be available as a voluntary part of health and prevention insurance contracts offered to corporate clients.

Generali Vitality, the innovative health and wellness behavioural programme founded by Discovery Ltd., rewards corporate clients for healthy living, and aims to improve employee health and wellbeing. When The Generali Group (‘Generali’) launched Generali Vitality in Germany earlier this year, it was the first insurance company to introduce shared-value insurance in mainland Europe, where it has exclusive rights to the programme.

Speaking about Discovery’s global network of insurance partners under the Vitality banner, Discovery Limited’s Group Chief Executive, Adrian Gore, said, “The integration of our shared-value insurance model into another market-leading insurer such as Generali is gratifying as it expands our ability to achieve better health and value for clients, superior outcomes for the insurer, and a healthier society.”

Vitality has a successful track record achieving sustainable health improvements in various markets worldwide for almost 20 years. The programme is based on extensive clinical, actuarial and behavioural economics to help people live healthier, more active lives.
