Adrian Gore received the award on behalf of Discovery at an event on Saturday evening, 13 February, hosted by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) and attended by the President, Ministers and country ambassadors.
Adrian Gore, Chief Executive Discovery said, “It was with immense pride that I collected the 2016 Ubuntu Economic Diplomacy Award in the category of a business operating beyond African borders on behalf of Discovery. The award is a poignant reminder of Discovery’s values of innovation, optimism, nation building, and our intention to have an impact as true and committed ambassadors of South Africa. It is also a powerful testament to all the employees, brokers and partners who have, over time, given their potential and energy to our core purpose of enhancing and protecting people’s lives, and developed our country as a consequence.”
