Best radio health journalism - Siphosethu Stuurman from SABC Radio for ‘Young and living with HIV’
A well-told radio story, built on narrative journalism, which takes the listener into the hearts and minds of the subjects. Sipho Stuurman gave a voice to young people living with HIV and the challenges that they face. Stuurman's story was a different take on the way HIV stigma stories are written, by giving us a glimpse into the lives of 2 young HIV positive people. He did a commendable job in dealing with a subject that still remains sensitive in South Africa.
